Horsham Sounds

Organised by Visit Horsham, in association with Horsham District Council, Horsham Rocks and QM Studios, the first ever town wide Horsham Sounds event was due to take place on Easter Monday 2020.

Multiple outdoor stages across town til 4pm then moving to five indoor venues until 7pm – The Red Deer, Horsham, The Stout, The Anchor Hotel, The Bear Horsham and The Crown – culminating in a headline evening set at The REC Rooms.

Horsham Rocks were asked to book and curate the indoor program. We had 17 acts lined up from multiple genres across six venues. Then Covid-19 stopped play…

So instead we did a livestream broadcast as a tribute. 11 acts, 11 exclusive tracks.

Horsham Sounds sadly never materialised… but since 2024 Sussex Sounds have been putting on a similar event each August bank Holiday, while Horsham District Council launched the weekly Friday Lates through the summer months.
